Top 5 Spring Cleaning Tasks

Spring is here, the days are definitely longer, the daffodils are out and we’re thinking of chocolate for Easter🐰 Now’s the perfect time to tackle those essential spring cleaning tasks and chores. It is called Spring Cleaning for a reason!

Here’s are our top 5 spring cleaning tasks

  • Decluttering: A cluttered home can cause stress and anxiety. Before you start deep cleaning, take some time to declutter and get rid of anything you no longer need. Recycle and rehome clothes, books and toys. Make some money and sell unwanted items on eBay or Facebook groups. It’s very satisfying and you’ll get yourself some extra cash.
  • Dusting: It’s everywhere, even if you can’t see it! Dust accumulates quickly, especially during the winter months when windows are kept shut. Dust surfaces from top to bottom to avoid having to clean the same surface twice!
  • Washing windows: It can be a daunting task but clean windows can make a huge difference in the appearance of your home. Use a natural cleaning solution or white vinegar with a microfibre cloth for a streak-free shine.
  • Curtains and upholstery: Vacuuming is essential to remove any dirt and debris that has accumulated over the winter months. You may vacuum every week but this is about getting under and behind your furniture – even in your furniture! Pull all the cushions off the sofa, and vacuum all the crumbs out! Wash your curtains on a cool wash and hang back up to dry. Don’t forget to clean lampshades and other upholstery.
  • Deep cleaning bathrooms and kitchens: High traffic areas, bathrooms and kitchens require a deep clean. Scrub toilets, sinks, and showers and deep clean appliances like the oven, fridge, and microwave.

Who doesn’t love a clean, fresh home? By tackling these essential spring cleaning tasks and chores, you’ll be able to enjoy a clean and fresh home with a clear mind.
